3⭐️’s.. I have to say.. The first 75% of the book was a drag to get through. It was mostly backstory and was EXTREMELY boring. The main characters basically didn’t interacting at all. The whole time I was thinking I was going to give this book 2⭐️’s until I got to the last 25%. Finally, I got to the meat of the story, which was fantastic by the way. Great character interaction, witty and funny banter, and a very interesting and unique story. So the first 75% was the setup and now I’m hooked!!

Not my favorite book at all. It was well written but did not have a great plot in my opinion, the whole book could have been a lot shorter and the ending was fairly predictable. The book seemed to just be world building. I wish it was only 1/2 as long so maybe there would be more action then only in the last few pages. Overall it was a good book just not to my liking

Ok well not quite sure how to rate this as it started off well and interesting but then went downhill but then picked up again and this carried on throughout the book. Utterly confused as to what’s actually happened in the book. Seems to be a lot of description of the magic and small details but I didn’t feel like it had any meaning to the plot or story.
Also the old English and the way they spoke confused me a little as sometimes it would change. Underwhelmed by this but maybe it’s just not the type of book for me

I honestly did not this this book. I dnfed at around page 200 it’s just not my cup of tea
