What a sweet and heartwarming story! Marcellus was the absolute best and the best most naughty octopus ever. I loved all the characters and how the mystery unfolded.

Such an endearing book! The characters are charming, the plot device to move the story (an octopus’s point of view of events) was fun, and the way all of the strings tied together was satisfying. I wish we had gotten more of Avery and Cameron’s character could have used more tweaking or started his character development a little earlier in the book. But overall, it was a wonderful read.

This reminded me so much of my favorite book, "A Man Called Ove" by Frederick Backman. I adored Tova. I loved Marcellus and his role in this book. I adored Cameron. I loved the intertwining stories. Beautifully written and will have you sitting on the edge of your seat with built up frustrating excitement, waiting for all the characters to catch up! Highly recommend!

A great read! The perfect amount of engaging: I was really gripped by the story and excited to read it, but it wasn't so much that I had to stay up all night reading, it wasn't that difficult to put down. Loved having Marcellus as a narrator so much. Took off a quarter star only because of the frustration
of how Cameron acts sometimes, especially at the end
when the reader knows more information than the characters know. This wasn't my usual genre or what I would usually identify as my favorite reads, as it's not quite as focused on individual characters' internal emotional progress as much as I usually read, but I loved it so much!

Just beautiful. I highly recommend listening to the audiobook after you read it.
