Such a cute romance. I thought this was just a fun romance with a cute cast of characters and a cute fake dating romance. I’m a sucker for plant magic too.

I didn’t like any of the characters in this book. Mariel and her friends were irritating and Themmie being a social media influencer was the absolute worst, especially when she just forced Mariel and Ozroth to be part of her livestream even though they were both going to say no. Mo, Mariel, you dont’t have to get used to that, that's her being inconsiderate. Also, why did her mom show up every other scene? We get it, shes overbearing and narcissistic and doesn’t care about Mariel’s dreams or whatever. Why does she have to be everywhere?

I hated the mix between magic and modern. Pixtagram, Ghoultube, Bumbelina….seriously?

While I didn’t have any big problems with Ozroth’s character, it was hard to believe he was a demon. Right after being summoned, he just cleaned her home. He let Themmie bully him into holding a sign for a protest and Calladia and Mariel to make him stay outside until she was ready to leave. For someone who has a nickname of ‘ruthless’, his behavior seemed odd.

Also, why are they acting like it’s his fault she was so bad at magic that she summoned him by accident and he has to stay near her? He can’t leave until they make a bargain, threatening him is useless. I’m not finishing so I don’t care how they find the way around that one, but this one is on Mariel being incompetent. These two woman almost thirty years old read like a couple of high schoolers.

such a sweet book, I loved the writing style and even though the plot was a bit predictable I still recommend it

This book was exactly the witchy, paranormal love story I had no idea I was looking for! This book was such a fun and easy read. It had the perfect combination of humor, and spice, and everything nice! Perfect for a cozy fall read!
