The book is extremely well researched and written. Although a factual text, it is written in a way that you often find yourself feeling like you're reading a novel. This makes it harder to comprehend that these atrocities actually took place.
Apart from learning more about what really happened in China during this period, I was also blown away by the extraordinary strength of the 3 women. They are absolutely inspiring.
Jung's afterward gives a beautiful overview of her life and feelings towards China. She is an extraordinary woman.
If you're interested in Chinese history and/or feminist and female empowerment then this book is for you.
