If the feeling of giggling & kicking your feet in bed while thinking about a childhood crush could be bottled up and sold- it would still not make me feel as giddy as this book! I am obsessed. It is so heartwarming and cute and lovely.
There are a few bits where homophobia plays a factor, & a homophobic slur is used, but overall this book feels like falling in love for the first time. It’s so sweet!

Oseman does a great job of finding the balance between the realistic feelings, dialogue, and situations of teenage love and the mature commentary and advice of a wiser counselor.
Reading these graphic novels bring me very quickly back to the feeling of being 16 and in love and I am so grateful to not have to do that again lol
