Once again, Tarryn doesn’t disappoint. Although I will say, this is the first book I’ve read that was a bit predictable, but still a fantastic read!
This book got me out of my reading funk. Of course Tarryn’s words can do that. Billie is so relatable. Even when she does things that mad me so mad I understand, she’s human. This book will give anyone hope in love.
F*ck Marriage: This book pierced me right in the heart. It was everything that I didn't know I needed to read. I don't have an unhappy marriage, in fact I have a good one, but we all carry our scars and this book strikes at all of those hurts and fears. There were times when I literally felt my heart seizing with Billie's emotions and I understood her in a very deep way. This book kind of gutted me in the best way, and I ended up re-reading half of it immediately after finishing. Billie didn't always make the ethical or right choice, and there were parts of this book that were excessively dramatic but it was also satisfying to see it play out like that. We all want that dramatic finish sometimes, right?
I think as women, many of us are Billie. Underneath all of our armor and our shields, we are just flawed people who want our person to love us. Every women should read this book at some point in their lives, and so I'm going to leave a few quotes below. These are selections I highlighted when reading the book for the first time.
"They act like they’re not the ones who’ve made us jaded in the first place, and then punish us for having battle wounds by leaving us for someone they haven’t fucked up yet."
“Our truth is something we know about ourselves without a doubt. It’s woven into our DNA.”

I loved this more...I loved Fuck Love but this stuck to my heart and resonated with me.
Oh don’t mind me. Just casually reading Queen Fisher’s entire discography in a week.
I just can’t.
I loved the writing and the first half of this story but then it just got to be too much. Too much was going on. All the characters were indecisive and codependent. Everyone loved but hated each other. I just couldn’t like it.
