This was an excellent and poetic account of life in rural areas. It is raw and honest, about how rural life is dying out, how it has changed in the last few decades, how all that knowledge is getting lost and how it affects the people there. It talks about the schools and jobs disappearing, about the need for more hospitals and carers, about the freedom and the community when living in a village, about the nature and the history of the houses and the places there. How some people are drawn to that life but it is difficult to survive in the current conditions. How cities disregard them in a way that presses them. There is also talk of nature, wolves and elks, but also of refugees that come there, the money distribution within a government for each thing. It is all based on real people interviews from osebol, which makes it even more powerful. A great read.

Läst i littkurs // Fin och intressant. Det var speciellt att få lyssna till alla olika människors tankar om Osebol. Om det jobbiga i att det ligger lång bort men samtidigt om det fina i att det ligger långt bort. Kände igen mig i vissa saker och tror att den här kan vara intressant att diskutera.
