Stephen King

The intrigue of the concept stumbles over the too quick pace, which makes the characters read as both too stiff at times and too neatly redeemed in others

I really liked this book. Although I wish it were bigger still a good book for some light reading out in the sun

I appreciate the message that I think Uncle Stevie was going for, but the characters seemed a bit flat and stereotypical. He's such a phenomenal story-teller, I think he could have done better with this idea.

Nice stories - liked the second about the puppy better

Short for a King book. I am just not the target audience for this book. Feels like it was written for all the people that live near King that he has watched become FOX-ified in an attempt to snap them out of it. But fails at that because it just is too short, you don't invest in the characters and so it just doesn't ring true. Only lost a couple of hours to read it. Definitely would not have pushed through if it was a standard King tome.

Not at all what I expected, but Stephen King's most respectful writing if queer people that I've ever read. Though he did write a slur which he shouldn't be using, but what do you expect from him? It's also very much white straight saviour, and I'd say the queer characters are quite stereotypical, but for King it wasn't too bad.
Overall, a nice short book. Definitely different to his other works, but ultimately an enjoyable book. It had a strange ending and the whole book was a bit weird, but it was quite relaxing to read in my opinion.
I just want to know why Scott was like that???

My first foray into Stephen King. I know this is probably unlike many of his other works. I found this a wonderful story, with meaningful characters and complex relationship development for its brevity in pages. I will be thinking about this one for awhile.

What an interesting little book! Don't be fooled by it's length. Although it's a super quick read, it packs a great punch that leaves you thinking about the typical topic of death in such a unique way. This book is definitely a conversation starter.
