now this is NOT a horror book and i think i was pranked

This may be the best thing Stephen King has ever written, and done it in the length of a fairly short novella.

There’s no big bad, no monster in the darkness (supernatural or human), but a driving question, a bit of weirdness, and a healthy dose of hope. I’ve always found Mr. King to be at his best when studying the humanity of his subjects—at their darkest (Misery) or their kindest (John Coffey in The Green Mile), he is a wonderful observer of humankind.

From kind of a silly conceit, what would happen if your connection to gravity was somehow disappearing, a thoughtful and concise story is built out of the desire for human connection, and the ways we grow (or don’t) in the process of living.

This is a wonderful story, and a charming bit of reading.

Any interesting pair of short stories

This book left me with more questions than answers. It was short and (not) sweet and it felt like nothing happened, which is truly impressive considering it was 146 pages. Don’t recommend. And only because it kept me a little bit entertained does it get a; 1/5.

A delightful snack for those of us whom the King has so affectionately penned Constant Reader. A very light and imaginative read without much depth or explanation. As is King’s usual style, this one leaves you drawing your own conclusions, asking “What?”, “How?”, “Why though?!”.

Audiobook

What a quirky read. I wish I remembered who recommended it to me. I loved the line at the end about "death feeling like lift and everyone should feel it. Maybe they do?"

Very disappointing.

I didn't enjoy this at all.
