Super weird old slang and jargon, and a lot of references that I think are meant for a more chronologically advanced crowd. But the story was interesting, and I enjoyed getting to know the characters.

Surprised at how poorly reviewed this is. Really beautiful story. Could the MC been somebody else? Sure. Did it affect my enjoyment of the story and his actual character? Absolutely not.
