I liked the first book but couldn't get to this one for at least half a year.  I started to read it and I realized it was from Oak's point of view and nothing about him is great in my eyes.  The first book was great because it was from Wren.  I don't care how Holly Black would decide to redeem Oak no matter how much he loves Wren, he deserves what he gets.

4.2 I love that this book was from Oak’s perspective to see more of him and what he is hiding. Between his loyalty to his family and his love for Wren. This one also had more political intrigue that the first was building up for. Can’t wait to be back with Jude and Cardan in the next series
