I am giving it 4 stars mainly because it gave me Jurdan and Oak’s POV was more bearable, but mainly for Jurdan.

holly black more like HOLY black
Not to reiterate what everyone else has already said, but the Jude&Cardan moments absolutely made this book. I liked it much better than the first one, it kept me hooked the whole way through (even if I didn't really care much for the romance itself lmao) and I love that we got to see more political power struggle and characters playing 4d chess because that was my favorite part of the cruel prince books. Literally couldn't put this book down, and it's definitely increased the re-readability of the duology for me. :)

I liked The Prisoner’s Throne a lot better than The Stolen Heir, but I still wasn’t really that interested until almost halfway through, when we finally get back to the roots of the original Cruel Prince series - The political intrigue, overall scheming and trickery (and also Jude and Cardan).
