The Cruel Prince did it better ...

This duology isn't bad by any means but it was underwhelming and honestly not memorable. I don't feel like it gave you anything new or fresh, it just felt like it was trying to recreate the cruel prince but failed...

It was ok... I did love being back in the world and obviously the Jude and Cardan content but other than that this felt more like an extended novella than a solid distinguishable series in its own right.
