Good for what it was. Great to have a plus size person as the star

I absolutely freaking LOVED this book like holy shit. I laughed, I cried, literally all of the above. I loved the inclusivity literally ALL around. And I loved the characters and the plot and gosh I can’t not express how good this book was

I used to watch the Bachelor and it definitely needs more diversity, so I figured this would be a nice take. Boy, was I right! It had all the drama, with a balance of sanity, and of course - some romance. I was rooting for the main character the whole time and couldn't put this book down!

I desperately wanted this to be good. I loved the format and for some reason the pop culture aspects didn’t make me want to rip my eyes out. I fully expected to be swept off my feet by the end. However, my feet are still firmly planted on the ground. There were so many things that irked me about the last half of the book, most of which I won’t mention because I’m writing this on my phone and forgot how to format spoilers. HOWEVER I will say that Bea’s attitude about literally everything made me want to rip my hair out. She misinterpreted Asher’s intentions constantly and got mad at him for his actions that were completely reasonable given the circumstances? Also I think it’s hard to root for someone who slept with an engaged person???

This could have been SO GOOD and it pains me that I can’t rate this higher than 3 stars but alas. It is so.

3.5 stars from me. I'm obviously not loving this one as much as other people and that's ok because that's usually how it is for me with a lot of popular titles. I loved the premise of the story, a plus sized woman chosen to be on a reality tv show to have 25 men fight for her hand. I should have known I wouldn't love this book because I detest those actual tv shows but I wanted to give it a try anyway. I loved the main character and a few of the side ones as well but mostly I didn't really care about the others. I didn't really love any of her love interests and found by the 70% point that I just wanted the book to be over already. I was tired of the "game" and the format started wearing on me as well. I love texting and emails in books but this just was too much for me. From texting, to blogs, to emails and back again. It did make for a quicker read but it annoyed me after a while since I felt it was done TOO much. I forced myself on though to see who she picked and I was happy with how everything ended and wrapped up.

4.5 stars, Audio book.

I could not stop listening to this book and I loved almost everything about it. Normally, I am not into reality TV of any kind. But for some reason, while reading this book, I was hooked. I caught myself rooting from certain men and excited/anxious to know what was going to happen the following week. And how I just wanted some of them to get fucked (In a bad way lol). I loved all the POVs that this story provided and how we got to know everyone's opinion, in a way that we would in the real word.

And just that the main character is plus size is a breath of fresh air (first time reading one with this) and relating to all the problems and experiences that she has. Personally, I think the book did a great job pointing out what us plus size women can go through in our day to day just because of our weight. Mostly things that "normal" weight people wouldn't have to think about or go through.
