This book was perfection. I’m not sure there was a single thing I disliked about it. I think the way the third act breakup was handled—from the mistake to the forgiveness—was sensible and mature. I hate those stupid miscommunication (or lack of communication) problems that should be easily resolved but aren’t. This isn’t that.

This book was pretty short but still had so much packed into it. Oh! The sex is closed door, which was fine and didn’t hurt the story at all, but these characters had such great chemistry that a closer look at their sexy times wouldn’t have gone amiss.

I’m very much looking forward to reading the rest of this series!

Very charming fake-dating romance. Richard and Lainie are costars in a West End play and are strong-armed/cajoled/bribed into fake dating in order to raise the profile of their show. Parker does a really good job of treading the line of "guy with a reputation for being a jerk, but is not at heart an asshole." I genuinely liked both Richard and Lainie and I loved how the inevitable "great misunderstanding" was handled. Both reacted believably and like adults, hallelujah!!

Oh so charming. Loved it and immediately bought the second one.

A record - reread this within a month of the first time finishing!

a twist on the "marriage of convenience" trope, which I quite liked. Pretty tame, but it was a sweet book.

This book is an easy read, however I struggled to get into this book and found the storyline to lack depth and any kind of passion.

It was a fun read. Several scenes made me LOL. This author's sense of humour is right up my alley. Will definitely read it again. But Pretty Faces is still my favourite book in this series.

Pretty middling overall. I was kinda in for the 'grumpy love interest with a heart of gold' thing at first, but the guy's just not that likeable. He's just a little too stoic and masculine for my tastes. At least the romance novel act-3 misunderstanding was fairly understandable.
Enjoyable but not extraordinary.

A classic case of I read too many rave reviews and my expectations were too high. I found this London theater actors romance okay, but nothing mind-blowing. The acting and theater details were nice but the actual romance featuring a cranky Darcy-type and a hardworking and heart-broken actress were not my favorite couple.
