What is it about alpha bodyguard males that makes for such a sexy romance?

Given the title, I expected a little more oomph to the "hate" part of the equation. It was surprisingly sweet, given my expectations. Which isn't a bad thing. This is a fast, entertaining read great for someone who likes a side of suspense mixed in with a whole lot of steam.

This story takes you for a free fall and a half. The characters are well written and you feel like you know them. I love the damaged warrior and the supposed innocent damsel. The good news is he's not as bad as he thinks and she is stronger than he imagines.

The box set is the way to go otherwise I would have been cursing till the next installment.

5 thumbs to the ceiling!

There’s A Thin Line Between Love and Hate

4.5 ✨
Hailey and Cole hate each other with a passion. But, who knew beneath all the hate was a lust simmering. Soon these two began exploring the emotions hidden beneath all that hate and it turns into something neither of them were ever expecting. But, Cole’s job brings a danger to the couple that makes everything worse before it makes it better. Hate F*@k is hot and steamy page turner with twists that makes your jaw drop.

As soon as I saw the title of this book I one-clicked. Hate Fucks are my newest favorite thing, so I couldn't wait to dive in. Unfortunately, I feel like the actual hate fucking in this book fell short of my expectations. I never actually felt as though Cole and Hailey ever really hated each other. They wanted to, but they didn't. That being said, the sex scenes were pretty damn hot, hate or not.
The story itself was interesting, the twists and turns kept me interested and the writing style was good. However, I never really felt a connection to the secondary characters and so it was a bit harder to be invested in the Horus Group as a whole. I just don't feel like I got a good glimpse at their personalities or hints of what to expect from their stories. I can't say if I'll read more from this series or not but I don't regret picking this one up at all.

I love me some good romantic suspense stories. Hadn’t read one in a while and randomly decided to start this one that has been waiting on my Kindle to be read for too long. This was the first book by this author that I read and it's safe to say it won't be the last.

Super happy I finally gave it a go, because it was a really good read. Took me a bit longer than expected, because I normally only read at night on the Kindle - during the day I mostly always grab a physical book - and I haven't had much nights in which I had the energy to read haha. But every time I continued in this book, I was immediately hooked again and enjoying the story.

There's a fair amount of steam present, but also more than enough good romance, story- and character development. Can’t wait to dive into the next one!
