I liked the set up of the story but I really couldn't get into them as a couple.

A lot of the events seemed to tell us about the characters but not really show us much. For example, we are told that Lia is the hotheaded/impulsive twin but she doesn't seem much different from Claire in this book.

The conflicts seemed a bit forced and not fully defined. I was honestly confused about the actual source of the conflict and if anything meaningful actually happened to resolve it.

Also, this is another example of a writer who is making an attempting to write a British person but not quite succeeding. A bunch of the vocabulary was changed but a lot of it just felt off in an uncanny valley type of way.

Lia has taken a huge leap and new adventure with a semester abroad in Oxford, England. Leaving her family behind her is tough, but Claire gets her to be open and enjoy the time while she is there. Then one night at a pub in walks Jude. The moment these two connect, the sparks fly and the banter ensues. Jude and Claire give you all the feels on their adventure. Both accept their chemistry and that night leads to an unexpected surprise. Jude and Claire accept their future, but what happens when they choose to ignore everything but the connection between them? The journey Claire and Jude take us on is one emotional rollercoaster filled with all the laughs, cries, moments of yelling and swooning! Claire and Jude captured a part of my heart and left their mark. Don't miss out on what happens between Claire and Jude!

This was such a fun and charming addition to the Ward Sisters series! In Floored, we follow a spirited American girl who heads to England for six months and quickly finds herself in a playful debate with a handsome local over which sport reigns supreme—soccer or American football. Their chemistry is instant, and the banter is so entertaining.

One of my favorite parts of this book was getting to catch up with characters from the earlier books. It felt like revisiting old friends and seeing how their lives have continued to grow. Karla Sorensen does a great job weaving humor, heart, and romance into this story, and I’m already looking forward to the next one!

Jude and Lia's story was equal parts sweet and

Hoopla audio. Really, I'd like to give this a 3.85. I didn't think I'd like Lia's book but it was a nice light read. No angst

“I don’t know what I did to deserve finding you that night because you were the catalyst, Lia. Whatever hope I’ve found for the rest of my life started with you.”

This one was fine. Not good but not bad either and maybe it's a me issue and not this book because I did liked the first half but after that it was just boring and plain. The characters were written beautifully and I liked the growth they had in this book by the end. I loved the Ward family moments and I will always love their chaotic and precious family times and it's one of my major reasons for continuing this series.

“Sometimes, you proved your worth by showing what you were willing to give up.”

Lia and Jude were good together and also as individual they had more personality than Noah and Molly. There was instant attraction between them and their banter was witty and I liked how they could go on and on about anything and everything. Jude and Lia's first meeting was filled with sparks, engaging banter, tension and chemistry but as the story progressed, that spark kinda died down and that's one of my major issue with this book. They felt more like strangers who were in this forced situation because of Lia being pregnant with Jude's child and it felt like they were much better as co-parents than being lovers and parents. I mean I wanted them to get to know each other better and to do things that helps them understand their dynamics better. It all felt rushed and forced.

Overall, the family moments is what made the book enjoyable for me. Logan & Paige are still my favourite Ward couple and I'm looking forward to read Isabella's story next because I already like her and you can never go wrong with a single dad trope!

I finished this in one sitting, or one laying in a morning. I liked the contrast between the big boisterous family and the stiff upper lip poor communication English family.

It just didn’t capture me when it started
