This is such a powerful book. Green tells her struggles with an eating disorder so honestly. The illustrations are beautiful and punch you in the heart. Seriously. I could go on forever about the illustrations. While the story itself is strong, the illustrations really make it stand out.

Couldn't put it down, a beautiful and touching work - I can't imagine the emotional effort it took to draw and write out her story, but I'm glad she did.

This book touched me deeply. Highly recommend.

An incredibly moving visual depiction of a young woman's struggle with eating disorders and sexual abuse. Her anxiety and perfectionism are palpable and her artistic display of the "monster" inside gives the reader a clear understanding of her inner thought process.

Beautifully rendered account of the author-illustrator's young life, beginning with her mental struggles that led to anorexia, as well as a sexual assault, betrayed by an alternative "therapist."  The process to gain a healthier body and mental outlook is long and filled with pitfalls.  Recommended!

Wowowow. Evocative and genuine, this is the one of the best reads of the year for me. Definitely the best graphic novel I’ve read so far! As someone who has dealt with body dysmorphia and mental health lows in different ways, this really hit home. The way she depicts her struggles with anorexia and self-loathing is so spot on, it hurts. But, since this is a story about recovery, it left me feeling hopeful and grateful for my own recovery as well. Much love to you, author! ❤️
