I really liked this story! It was so fascinating to follow Grace, a true crime ghost writer, who is invited to a private island to write the memoir of Claudia Blackwood, a well-known horror author who was accused of murdering her high-school boyfriend.
The setting was delightfully gothic, and there were such interesting secrets threatening to be revealed.
I did not see the ending coming and oh boy, this has a chance to be my favourite story in the Never Tell collection.

This was so good, like what?
I am convinced that if this would have been a full-length thriller, maybe with a cover more in the style of current bestselling mystery books (think Riley Sager, Ashley Elston, Lucy Foley or Freida McFadden), this story could have been the thriller of 2024.
The atmosphere reminds me of Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier.
Usually, I am the person for whom every thriller she reads is a tad bit too long, but this one? I did not want it to end. I will definitely pick up more by the author now, because if her other books are even just half as good as this, they will be right up my alley.

Another quick short story. I didn’t see the end coming at all. A fun quick read.
I stated on my first review of this series, I don’t like short stories. That said, this one was somewhat better than the last one, but no surprises.
Somewhat predictable but still enjoyable! Would love a longer, fleshed out version to read.
A great short story that I didn’t not see the ending coming
