I enjoyed The Luminaries, but this was different altogether. A cracking book, good tempo, good plot, impossible to foresee how it was going to end( for me anyway). The tension built slowly. If you like a thriller, this is for you

Lots to chew on here. Very thoughtful characterization, interesting ideas, long and complex sentences, and one of the best (and most frustrating) endings to a novel that I’ve experienced in a long time. Really wish I had someone to discuss this one with.

Oh, and her prose about gardening is so, so good!

I gotta read more thrillers. Really enjoyed all the characters and kind of felt reminiscent of a Michael Crichton book?
