This is offically my 25th book of 2018 and i have met my reading goal!! Im really enjoying this series. The action scenes were a little rushed in this book i feel. I understand that the story was playing on Elena's nightmares, but often times it just felt repeated and then when the climax came it was rushed. Hope the third one fixes this because I really do love this series so far. Highly recommend if you like angel books and bounty hunter books.

This book moved slower than the first; didn't have enough action in the first half of the book. You met a whole slew of new characters and got hints at their backgrounds, but not enough to really become endeared to any of them. You did, however, get to know about a lot of characters that were easy to DIS-like. Not sure if I'm ready to read the third in the series anytime soon, which is disappointing. I like Nalini Singh's books under normal circumstances, but this one was not a favorite.

This was a reread and just when you think you have time to get used to a whole new life, people are out to kill you!

I am really loving this series. The world Singh has created is very interesting and I am in love with Raphael and Elena, they are such a great couple.

The plot thickens! I enjoyed this 2nd installment of the Guild Hunters series. We learn more about angel culture and some history/backstory to several different characters, and stand with Elena as she begins to confront the terrors of her past.

Alright, maybe I wasn’t as much of a good girl as I thought since all of my prayers haven’t worked! I still don’t have a Raphael *sigh* I guess I’ll now have to resort to begging, but make no mistake, this chick is not to proud to beg.

This book starts off with Elena just waking up from a deep, year long, coma to realize that she has been made an angel. We follow her journey as she comes to terms with & learns how to be in the world of Angels, as well as, Raphael’s mate. Throughout most of the book, Elena is recovering and not quite as kick-ass as she was in Angels’ Blood. However, being able to see& learn this new world through her eyes more than makes up for that. Raphael’s dominant side plays a major role in this book, but I think that is a direct result of Elena’s weakness and fragility. Raphael + Dominance = Yum!

If it’s even possible, I fell more in love with Elena & Raphael as their relationship progressed. Their openness, respect & support of each other are AMAZING and I hope that it continues throughout the series.

Now off to beg…

I really enjoyed this book. Elena had been in a coma for over a year. She grew so much throughout this book and didn't lose her strength despite her obstacles. She really opened up to Raphael and he seemed to grow up a bit too. Even though Rafael didn't show it very much, Elena's pain caused him pain.

The first half of the book was spent with Elena getting used to her wings and used to being an angel. It was difficult for her but she kept pushing forward. I didn't think that it would take that long for her to get back in shape but it did. With the help of Dmitri and another of Rafael's seven, she regained most of her strength from being in the coma.

Michaela seems to continue to get away with striking at Elena with barely a bruise. As I said in the review of the first book, she needs to die. I sort of wish that Rafael would just kill her. It bothers me a bit that Rafael is "a little bit human". He's a freakin archangel! And now that Elena is an angel, I would think that he would lose the physical human part especially since he was in a coma too. I feel like the reason why he became a bit human was from spending time with Elena. He could still have some emotional or psychological human traits but the physical part should have gone away if he's one of the most powerful archangels. Another thing that bothers me a bit is that I miss Elena's friends. I kind of want to see how they will react to her being with Rafael. I didn't expect her to leave her human life completely.

I didn't love this books as much as I did the first so I give it about 3.75 stars!
