I love a good mafia romance now let’s just kick it up a notch & make it an Irish mafia romance. Hes a brudy alphahole. When she was young she meet a sweet boy in the woods the hole town hated but he  was her friend. Tragedy strikes and she ends up in the system no longer able to visit Ireland till years later. She finds out his home burned and he died or did he.

This started out well but I lost interest about 50% through. Since I was that far along I decided to try my hardest to finish it. I think I was expecting a different type of mafia setting , the love they shared was phenomenal though I just didn't connect with literally anything else.

Kellen and Darby had so many hurdles to overcome. The world was not kind to either of them. Their connection was truly touching and the plot was definitely secondary to their relationship. The author’s note was a very nice touch as well. Recommend !

Galway Girl Approved!

This is my first time reading a book by this it & Kellen was magical as they grew from children to adults to find a their HAE. There are many triggers in this story, but these two face them separately & then together. I loved Kellen's intensity & his fierce attraction to Darby. Darby evolved from an innocent child to an abused teen to a badass young women who was able to show Kellen just how much she was willing to do to save him. I wish I could give it more stars! Slainte!

Devil of Dublin was a dark atmospheric Irish Mafia romance. The story completely swept me off my feet and left me staring at a wall, processing all of the pain and beautiful love Kellen and Darby had for each other. Kellen was raised being told he was the son of the devil by everyone around him. Except for Darby, she always saw his brightness and saw him for who he truly was.

Man was this story heartbreaking and healing in so many ways. I have so much respect for these two solely for the understanding they had for each other’s trauma responses and how they always sought out consent. This book touches on some very difficult subjects and handles it delicately and with grace. With that being said please read TW’s because this book definitely falls into the dark romance category and has some very graphic descriptions.

This was my first BB Easton book and I was very pleasantly surprised by the unique concept based loosely on some true happenings within the Irish/catholic culture.
I will definitely be checking out more by this author in the future.

Audible
Very slow start but took off in the middle and had a breakneck ending. Incredibly sad, lots of triggers. Painful and sweet love story. Incredible male narrator.🥵

This gritty romance has touches of mystical things that bring some lightness and lovely feelings of fate to it.
Both characters are extremely likable and I felt such empathy for them both.
Life doesn’t go easily for either of them.
I loved the childhood scenes, I loved the kindness and understanding Darby shows to Kellen.
I love Kellen’s eagerness to please Darby, he is a very tortured soul and at times my heart was so broken for him.
It’s a rare case when I’d actually like a bit more scenes of their younger years together, I think it would have made me feel their deep connection in a bigger way.
As adults when they see each other again it’s under incredibly intense circumstances.
From there it’s a lot of action, hiding and fear of being found.
In between the high octane situations there are incredibly touching emotional scenes both heartwarming and heart wrenching.
It’s an intense time and they are dealing with extremely difficult issues.
I felt so much for them both. It was so bittersweet at times.
I love the feeling that they are fated to be together, I love the way they seem to instinctively understand each other’s pain.
It brings up some serious real life issues, I liked that representation.
It’s very emotional, some occurrences are very difficult yet they aren’t on page often or described in detail.
But, you know the awful things that have occurred.
It was very emotional and not as dark in the mafia aspect as I expected.
I really enjoyed the story and journey of these two people who had endured so much and found some understanding and care from each other.
