Still, Dark Places had an atmospheric setting that kept me hooked, and the mystery was intriguing. It wasn't overly scary, but the pacing was perfect—a real page-turner. However, the ending felt a bit abrupt. The reveal of the villain felt sudden, lacking any real explanation or backstory beyond Honora's perspective. I also wished Rhys had a different fate. Despite that, it was an interesting read overall.🍺

This was a very fun read! Definitely a little outside of my normal genres but it kept me turning pages until almost 2 in the morning when I finished it!
Told from multiple POVs across different stages in time, this psychological thriller/supernatural horror novel kept me glued to the pages and suspicious of everyone and everything as the timelines come together! True crime podcasts, haunted houses, a serial killer, religious trauma, small town legends, ghosts, and plenty of shocks. I absolutely did NOT see that ending coming! Cannot wait to read more from this author!

I don’t know if I can accurately express how much I enjoyed this book!
Still, Dark Places has easily become one of my favorite books and if I could give it a 6/5 stars, I absolutely would! It was hooked at the first chapter, unable to put it down as I tore through it to get to the ending. Told in three POV’s, one of which is an unreliable narrator, I could not get enough.
This book centers around the small town of Still Water, infamous for the Seven Sisters, seven girls would mysteriously went missing, one of them including the sister of one of our main characters, Nora. Nora, now a true crime podcast co-host who has a history with cracking cold cases, hesitantly returns to Still Water at the request of a local mother whose daughter went missing a year ago. As Nora and her co-host, Rhys, dive into the case, they also seem to find themselves a little closer to trouble than they expected.
I could go on and on for hours about this book, though I did have some suspicious that turned out correct, I was still surprised and thoroughly enjoyed the read.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been so engrossed in a book and this one really had my full attention right from the beginning. I couldn’t put it down.
This was such a gut-wrenching story with some heavy religious sections. The past & present POVs were extremely tense and the plot kept me guessing the entire time. I was so baffled by the twist at the end that my jaw actually really did drop as I read it. This was definitely a 10/10 read for me.

I loved this book, it's gripped me from the start. Her writing is great and the two stories were woven together really well. The plot twists - I must say, I didn't see coming, however, I did see Rhys betraying her, all my alarm bells rang when he was introduced and after the encounter with Miranda via email. I didn't quite know how it would happen, but I knew it would. And also, he dated her sister?!? How twisted was he! I realise he did it to get close to the fanily but still
I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone wanting a thrilling read. It was true gasp worthy
