First off, I want to say that Sartre's preface? Absolutely top-tier!!

Honestly, I'd recommend this book on anyone, but especially white people because it forces you to confront the brutal reality of oppression faced by those without that privilege, to see the long-term scars, and hopefully, to realise the weight of that privilege and do something meaningful with that understanding.

عندما هزمت ألمانيا بعد الحرب العالمية الأولى ووقعت بيد فرنسا وامريكا، سمحوا لها ان تكون بلادا ديمقراطية حرة وتعاملوا معها بانسانية برغم العداوة، الاوروبيون لم يعاملوا الدول العربية او الافريقية المستعمرة بذات الشكل، نهبوا الموارد وقتلوا البشر واغتصبوا النساء وعندما خرجوا، تركوا خيوطا تربط حكام هذه البلدان بارادتهم، ومازالت سرقة الثروات مستمرة، نحن بلدان مازالت تقبع تحت الاستعمار بقناع شعبوي متخلف وحر مزيف. ولن تنهض هذه البلدان حتى تقطع دابر الاستعمار وبقاياه ومقلديه وتبدأ برسم مصيرها.
