*There is occasional usage of the slur for the Romani people throughout the audiobook*
I liked the core concept quite a bit. I agree with the need to reconnect with nature and instinct, to find what our wants and needs are outside of expectations, although I believe that should be done through indigenous guidance. I also quite enjoyed hearing the various cultural stories they used to support their points, a stronger analysis could have made for a more cohesive body of work.
There was also a lot of gender essentialism that wasn’t really based in anything and in my opinion rather unnecessarily distracted from what could have been the central theme of embracing the core of human nature and our interdependent relationship with nature and with each other.
