I did the audio version and I just adore the author. She reads to you like a wise elder might pass stories down to the younger generations, it is quite beautiful. It doesn't have the same amount of stories as her dangerous old woman books, but still valuable.

It sounds culty but there is so many bits of wisdom and stories that make you reflect on women as a species and our history and survival and what shapes and makes us who we are. Absolutely loved it.

The way the book was narrated was so interesting and unusual, I hadn’t heard anything like that before, it felt like a podcast or something!

Didn’t always understand what she was saying but alright nonetheless.
