I think that a lot of the lessons that this novel taught are also connected to many people now a days. Who doesn't need to be connected to their wild self a bit more?

For the first 150 pages I was hooked. Enthralled. It was like someone had climbed into my brain.

But the next 150 pages were a lot of the same - there were areas where the text kind of went on for a long time. Like when you're reading older novels and you can tell that they were published in newspapers by chapter at a time - sometimes it takes eras to get to the point.

The book is great, but as a woman it still speaks to a specific audience of women, if that makes sense. It was applicable to me in a lot of aspects, but if I gave it to my sister who is is very left-brained I feel like she wouldn't appreciate or resonate as deeply with I did.
