Was I the only one who didn't really like this? I mean I didn't hate it or anything, but I have some gripes.
1. When did Goldie and Diane start dating? It's really lame that any escalation happened off page.
2. The art. It's not bad, but it's different. It's less cheerful.
3. The plot. It made more sense than the last volume, but it wasn't super interesting. Too much time spent in the garage for me.

Even the mean characters get a fully-realized background and emotional growth! There's so many layers to this arc that I enjoyed the heck out of, Goldie and Sugar's tenuous friendship, the side-eyeing of men underestimating women's capabilities, Diane's cool clothes (serious crush on her) all with a veneer of Happy Days-like, aw-shucks wholesomeness that some how manages to be fresh and modern. Loving this series more and more.

This one went up a half star from the previous two volumes for me. I am really enjoying the characters, and this one was particularly enjoyable for me with a certain character's development.

I enjoyed this volume more than the first two. I think the story flowed well and it was a very fun read. I’m looking forward to reading the next one.

Of the Goldie Vance series books so far, this is my favourite volume. It is amazing. We have stronger characterization of Sugar Maple, a super interesting car plot, a good amount of feminist/women centric storytelling that still feels fresh.
A great fluid reading experience. Would highly recommend

Seemed a little more rushed than the last two Goldie Vances. I also felt like we didn't see enough of the other regular characters or the setting.
