The Bloody Heart killer has been wreaking havoc and taking young, attractive, boys and putting them through hell for weeks on end. Eventually killing them in a gruesome way.
Six victims so far and one missing boy. The BH killer is caught or so it seems but one of the fathers of the victims a defence attorney seeks the assistance of Dr Gwen Moore. Gwen is a psychiatrist to the depraved and Robert wants her help to prove the man arrested is not the real killer!!!! Interesting!!!

The pacing of this book was excellent it grabbed me right away. The mystery of the BH killer is figuring out if the killer is still out there or if the perv they did arrest is capable of being this sick and twisted!??

Really enjoy the psychiatrist insight angle of a serial killer and this one didn’t disappoint and I really liked Dr Gwen even though she makes some dire errors in judgement I thought she was quite relatable.

There are multiple POVs and it gets a bit full on at times trying to keep up with it but it eventually comes together to show you the full picture. I didn’t pick it at all.

Very entertaining read, I have had this one on my list for a while and definitely recommend it for a quick enjoyable read.

Thoughts 💭
The author knew how to rope in the reader, keeping them engaged and interested throughout the novel. The characters were morally complex, making me question who dunnit. I had a couple different people that I thought could be capable of fulfilling the role of serial killer in this book. I was pleasantly surprised by how it ended, but I also felt like I was left with some questions and confusion when I finished the book. I would recommend it to anyone that is interested in murder mystery novels. Was an overall good read!

4.5 but willing to round up to a 5. A little confusing at times with a lot of moving parts but all tied together really well

Slow start wasn’t sure I was going to enjoy at first but it got going. What a twist at the end too.
