I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews about the series as a whole, but honestly, I loved it. It starts out sort of silly but it’s got a lot of heart.

What a great ending. I feel like Denji though with the meat aversion….
Overall part 1 of chainsaw man got me very attached to the characters, killed them all off, gave me happy moments AND angst, I love this series and will start reading part 2 soon.

Chainsaw Man ends up an extremely high note. With a lot of quite moments that really add into Denji as a character. The insane last page of the previous volume goes right into this and a return of a character to push Denji to come back from his hell is both powerful and well done.
The last few pages give a very hopeful feel despite all the darkness around it. I'm assuming it will continue due to the final page but man, what a great fucking ending.

This manga is beautiful. Harrowingly painful with no plot armor. A great story with genuine characters who you can’t help but love. Part 1 was just fucking something. I don’t think I ever felt as sad reading a manga as this one. The deaths weren’t pointless or done for shock value. I’ll never get over this.
