To anyone who has read The Trial by Kafka, this could essentially be what would have happened to K if he had spent time in prison. I really felt like I was reading a retelling of The Trial all the way through this book or at least something by Kafka.

Dope. Weird Nabokov greatness. If you're new to him, give this a try. Schools push Lolita because of its acclaim, but uncle Vladimir has so many facets to examine that are better entry ways to his work. Like this.

Whimsical, beaut prose as always.
Left me with a hopeful perspective on life and congregation with society, and I love the absurdist presentation of the other characters and their chosen ‘reality’.

you ever read a book, and you like the book, but if you were asked to explain the book you'd come up with dead air?

As expected, Nabokov's style was something else, but idk if im just kind of eh about the absurdism after reading the stranger but I think I need to read a more story-based novel by him. But good!
