3.7. Not as good or groundbreaking as the original, but still worth the time if you like data-driven analysis of interesting problems. Good read while waiting for your regular book to become available from the library so you can finish it ...
While an interesting read, such as the in depth look at the economics of prostitution, it wasn't as good as their first book as it missed the fun connections.
I always love the Super Freakonomics books, and this one was no different the the other one. It's a great read that definitely makes you question your own logic.
Interesting read, but not quite as good as the original. The authors seemed to try to stuff too much into each chapter, in some cases with only the barest thread to tie the information together.
Very interesting conclusions based on research. I like data so this book was fascinating to read. Easy to understand and pretty captivating chapters (although I have to admit to nodding off during the discussion of global warming). This is a great sequel to an engaging book.

Interesting topics explored. In the era of fake news and social media overload, this book makes you look at all sides of an issue and gives you logical reasons why an opposing opinion may be valid.
While I preferred the first book Freakonomics, I would still recommend this second offering as worthy of reading. The presentation is similar to the first book and some subject matter is revisited, but the sequel stands alone and also introduces new topics and articles, gleaning "truths" by looking at data through the eyes of an economist. At the very least, like its predecessor, the sequel encourages you to look past what the popular media and our collective societal sentiment offers as truth, reminding you to question and analyze the data for yourself.
I personally found the topics in Freakonomics to be more compelling as a whole, but SuperFreakonomics has its own gems. The section on hospital hygiene and hand-washing was particularly interesting, and the epilogue regarding a study that introduced the concept of money to a group of Capuchin monkeys is as humorous as it is informative. Definitely worth a read.
