No Place Left to Hide had a solid premise—missing girl, small town secrets, and the kind of setup that should have kept me glued to the pages. Instead, it felt more like I was trudging through quicksand. The pacing dragged, the characters didn’t always pop off the page, and the twists were a little too easy to spot coming.
That’s not to say it was a total miss. There were definitely moments of tension, and I liked some of the atmosphere Megan Lally created. But overall, it just didn’t pack the punch I was hoping for. It sat in that frustrating middle ground of “not bad, but not great either.”
Final Verdict: A decent attempt at a twisty thriller, but it left me wanting sharper writing, more suspense, and characters with a bit more bite.

I didn’t like anyone in this book. By the end I just wanted everyone to either get caught or die together especially the “friends”. The killer reveal didn’t feel authentic or believable. Though I do like that the victims are not perfect people still did not find anything likable about them.
