What an absolutely wild ride this was! Suri is such a strong FMC who has to face a staggering number of obstacles- honestly, I would have given up multiple times if I was in her shoes. I loved learning about the magic system & how the amefyre ties in. The adventure, tension, lies & betrayal all make this story one that once it gets going, you won’t want to put it down. I’m so excited to see what happens next.

i was hooked straightaway, it’s so fast paced you won’t want to put it down. the twists and turns were spectacular. i loved how this was written, it had me kicking my feet on the edge of my seat - i need book two NOW!

I hate to say it but this was surprisingly good. Listened too the audiobook as one of my shitty spotify book recs to keep me entertained at work and actually got into it. Pretty well written, interesting, fast paced plot with a big chance to develop characters and relationships. Would actually read the next one.

This was so unexpected. Every time I thought I had the story figured out something would happen and prove all my theories wrong. I really enjoyed reading this! It was well paced and never felt dull. There were moments that I had to put the book down for a second because I would get so angry on Suri’s behalf! The world building was great too!
