I liked this one especially for its visceral feel, the unique puzzle of a man hardened by prison time reuniting with his now mature high school sweetheart, and the protective older brother, and their dad, and the tense resolutions over what put Donnie in prison in the first place; a vindictive cop and that brother, terrified and angry. The core of this story is compassion.

Content Warning: animal mistreatment that is quickly and heroically ended.

I really enjoyed this, especially the dynamics between all the characters but the gratuitous use of 'bitch' really got on my nerves.
