I loved the sections on young Coleman and was hopelessly irritated and bored by Roth's moralizing everywhere else. Please, tell us again about Monica Lewinsky. I'm rapt.

Okay, I appreciate an author's ability to use big words, but only to a certain extent. Once rich vocabulary starts preventing me from understanding what the heck is going on, it just gets annoying. And someone needs to tell Roth that chapters should not be 80 pages long. It just made the book seem never-ending! I did however appreciate the actual plot of the story.
