The plot was predictable, the story weak, and the writing fair to middling. But I enjoy Austin and Zavala's antics, even though these books are episodic.

Lekker boek, maar ik vind de boeken met Kurt Austin toch net wat minder dan die met Dirk Pitt. Neemt niet weg dat het een prima boek is voor tussendoor.

Interesting read. I think there were a few stories combined here rather than one whole story. Having said that I like the idea of turning the salt water into fresh water, and a 50-year old order still in place.
A good read.
A good read.
3.5 ⭐
The book was okay. The first half was very chaotic, and they somewhat came together in the second half. Too many terminologies threw me off quite a bit. The characters were kind of nice. I quite liked Austin, Gamay and Zavala. The plot itself was decent with a lot of action. There weren't really any big twists but overall it kept me entertained. The book was just a combination of environmental problems caused due to the cascading effects of one big organisation.

I liked it better than the first Kurt Austin book. The megalomaniacal baddie was slightly more sane in this book and the logic driving this bad guy made more sense.

Amazon Indians & neo-Vikings ? Surprisingly, the twin stories of Austin & the Trouts works !
With a love interest that has a hint of Summer & a global peril that foreshadows the global real-world issue of water shortages by an uncomfortably close margin.
