- Flaws of characters a main focus? Yes
well that took forever. I've been meaning to read more dale peck writing for a long time and I finally got around to it and I pretty much hated this. a few of the stories are alright, and I think he is an excellent writer with amazing command of prose and style, but I didn't actually enjoy any of these, except maybe sky writing, but then even that was sort of forgettable and the best part is just how good he is at creating really specific characters and withholding a reveal till the end. so like I can see the bones of what I love about sprout here but uhhhh all the subject matter is dull/intentionally shocking/obscure/slow. very disappointing tbh. maybe I was just in the wrong spot for it but maybe it's also just not for me.
