I read this really slowly, doing a chapter at a time every few days between the busyness of life, and then completing the reflective questions at the end of each Chapter. I don't usually read books this slow (especially considering its not that long) but I think it helped me take it in more so I'm glad I spaced it out. A great January book (or book for a new season of life e.g. reflecting on the past + making goals)
Was really easy to read and understand and lots of points made me smile - love Johns writing.
Made me think a lot about the need for vulnerability and bravery in growing in my relationship with God and Others. Will need to go back and reflect on it.

A bit of a kick of the pants... much better than I thought it would be and one I'll probably read again. Great book for a life group!

Thought guiding, but no new revelations or ah-ha moments. Great for morning ponderings.

Excellent, encouraging, motivating, hearing Jesus call and responding, overcoming fear with faith.

4.5 stars. I enjoyed this book. Ortberg kindly challenges readers to take Peter's example and step out of the boat. This message is especially powerful if you are considering making a change in life or stepping out of your comfort zone.
This book is more than just a boost in confidence, though, it's also a great reflection on the person of Jesus. By the end of this book you are invited to experience the Gospel in even deeper ways.

I felt like this book repeated itself a lot. I could have read most of it in one or two chapters.
