Wanted to love it but found it very odd - disjointed, hard to keep track of. Finished but honestly don't understand what they were trying to do. If I could go back in time I would read something else.

I almost liked this book and I wanted to like it. Just took me a long time to get through and some of the stories I didn’t quite get. Enjoyed the way they ended it tho.

The book is essentially short stories under the main plot of tenants of a building in NYC sharing them on the roof of their building during the COVID lockdown. The writing is excellent, but short stories aren’t my favorite and by page 250 it was a slog for me to get through another 100 pages of 3-5 pages unrelated stories.
