I weirdly liked this quite a lot. I’m not usually the biggest fan of the new parent trope but this was pretty sweet. I liked that they were communicating and acting like actual adults, although I felt like the background of all the characters could have been explored more, as well as the plot. There was just too much ground to cover in a stand-alone. Wasn’t a big fan of the constant tears of Nova but that’s just because I can’t fathom reacting that way in crisis. I adored Rigby so so much.

So far I absolutely bloody love all of Grace's standalone random sports novels. This has an engaging plotline, likable characters and steam, I know absolutely nothing about ice hockey but that's ok as the sport is just the background. I'm hoping that she continues to write novels like this one.
