Charmed Summer is the 5th book in the wonderful Gooseberry Bay series by Kathi Daley. The audiobook brings the characters to life and makes the story even more enjoyable than the printed version alone. Angel Clark is very good as the narrator.
Charmed Summer is packed with mystery and since Ainsley has become a private investigator, she is on the spot for solving a trio of cases. The characters are just what anyone would want for friends and I love to be a part of their exploits from book to book. The running thread of mystery from book to book not only keeps me guessing, it makes each book a surprise and pleasure to read. I can't wait for more.

I love this series, but Ainsley didn’t solve anything. Her computer wiz friend Gemma solved both cases. This was disappointing.
I like the storylines in this series, but I find too much repetition. The recaps every few pages can get annoying and I skip them.
