It took me two days to process wtf happened. The author really looked at her worldbuilding/magic notes and was like “well we gotta use all this somewhere before the finale of this arc SOOOO let’s throw it all in there”

Josef has some cry time
This was 89% dramatic backstory and then a bit of fluff towards the end.
If you're into fight scenes this volume will definitely be fine for you because that's what they do most of it. If you don't care for Josef and his issues then this will be a dull one for you but there is some good content in this for you.
We end this volume with a new arc! Which means that volume ten onward is the start of the College Arc and I think that's the arc they're still currently on but if you want to decide to stop reading the series here it's a great place to stop and call it quits.

most probably the strongest and most emotional volume yet,, could be wrong so we'll see.
the character growth and depth displayed in this volume was par expectations, many tears were shed ty.
still hate the last few chapters with the marriage thing yuck
so yeah i love what was done in this volume with chise and cartaphilus/josef's characters, hence the 5⭐,but absolutely loathe the last few pages where bride talk is still there lmao glad it was the last pages tho
