This volume is packed with fierce, raw energy and I really felt like I was on a rollercoaster ride of emotions! Ranging from delicate and heartbreaking flashbacks to critical make or break moments of trust, love and friendship, the character development is nothing short of captivating. Chise and Elias take some big lessons away from the fast-paced events that unfold and I'm excited to see where this takes them next!

This volume brings the story as far as the Anime series, and resolves some of the story lines that have been developing - the story with Cartaphilus, Chise's ongoing health problems, and some of the misunderstanding between Chise and Ainsworth.
I reread this volume recently by way of reminding myself where the story had got up to, before reading the most recent volumes.

Hard to follow. Main character is getting on my nerves, but then again, I guess she is a child.
