This book was a slow start for me. I'm not sure if it was just the idea of getting emotionally invested with Nesta or the character herself, but it took time for me to get into this one but when I did, it was awesome. I love the friendship between the Valkyries. I'm excited for the rest of the series! (If we ever get them!)

I was thoroughly disgusted. I'd rather this Nesta character died in the 1st book itself. Respectfully, ofcourse. It's co cerning how much anyone co ld be appalled by some non-existent idiot. (In this book's case, more appropriate will be "idiots" but I digress).

I have been holding on to hope for Nesta for 3.1 books and finally got the payoff in ACOSF! She was so damn stubborn for so long and her mental gymnastics was so frustrating to read. But I always knew that deep down she was just full of all the pain she pushed down and down her whole life.
I cannot even really put into words how much her journey in this book meant to me. Her found family with Gwyn and Emerie, the other priestesses who joined the Valkyrie training - I have never been so empowered and inspired to find my own strength and power. The last few chapters had me cheering for them, crying with them, and loving every second!!

SJM really turned up the 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ in this book!!
I'm starting to think Rhys lied to Feyre about the whole wingspan thing 👀

Cassian is everything. I loved the relationship building, everything felt so true to their characters and built naturally. I do feel like it was a bit excessive at times, but it mostly made sense for Nesta's arc and growth.

I could have done without the pregnancy storyline tbh. I didn't feel like it added to the story, Rhys became overbearing and overprotective in a way that felt out of character for him, and I didn't like that he was always preaching that Feyre had a choice in everything, but then decided to just not tell her about the risks of her pregnancy so she could have control over her own body.   I also didn't really like them dealing with yet another close call with death, like, once was fine but 3 times now is excessive. I wish too that Nesta was able to keep her power, but I understand why they got taken away (the sacrifice for the people she loved, the wrapping up of the issue of people wanting to use her as a weapon, her own fears of being out of control with it etc) I just feel like she was nerfed as soon as she found her power.
Also feel a little disappointed she didn't get to the top of Ramiel as well, that would have been icing on the cake, though I know it meant a whole lot more for Emerie and Gwyn to get there together!

So looking forward to the next book! It cannot come out fast enough!

I know it's rumored to be Elain focused, but I really hope we get focus on Azriel and Mor as well! I am all in for a Mor/Emerie storyline!

I knew this book would be a smut book, I’d been warned. However, I was not prepared for the amount of sex in this book. Easily over half of it is straight porn. That said I loved the story, Nesta’s friends, the House of Wind, Nedra’s journey to finding herself, and the humor. I feel like not having full chapter sex scenes every two pages would have made this a better book and a shorter read. Great story, but be prepared when you read.
