i’ve never cried at a book before, but silver flames really did it for me. i see so much of myself in nesta, in how she carries herself and how she heals throughout the book. her earlier character traits in the series reminds me so much of me before therapy, and this book reminds me so much of my own recovery—of learning that i am deserving of love and support and forgiveness. mist and fury was definitely my favorite of the series, but i have to give this five stars because of what it made me feel. nesta archeron you are so special to me!!!

My least favorite of the series but still have to give it five stars cause it is still very good, had some complaints on this one but enjoyed the character development and inspiration side of it, definitely looking forward to future books to get more of a story closure.

Okay...that was a lot.
Overall I loved this book. I felt like Nesta's journey was written so well and took so much time - like it was really great how it wasn't too easy, it really showed her progress and setbacks repeatedly, which felt realistic. Also her and cassian - yum. But then all of a sudden it was like she realized she'd written 680 pages and suddenly had to wrap it up and then crammed everything into the last 70 pages. There's so much left unresolved - like the entire autumn court, Tamlin, the rumbling war... like I need her to write more asap. Also as much as I loved the story, I missed hearing about Rhys, Feyre, and the rest of the people in the central group. I wish it'd been more balanced.
Having said all that I feel like the majority of the book was brilliant, which is why I gave it 5 stars - just an unsatisfying ending.

Honestly, I thought this book would be hard to read for me. I loved Feyre and got quite attached to her. And since this book is from Nesta’s perspective, it is quite different. But I really liked it. If you’ve ever had any mental health issues, you might find your struggles in Nesta’s struggles… I did and it was very validating. Overall the story doesn’t progress that much, it does deal with how a lot of us struggle with an internal invisible darkness.
