My body is also a Welsh Methodist tin tabernacle, except a little more English
I saw the movie first because I got it at my library and I only had a week before I had to return it. A few days later the audiobook became available to me before the printed version, so I listened to the audiobook. I like the book’s attitude and the relationship between the two main characters. It was confusing at times when the narrator made his point of view changes, which I don’t know how much better the printed book is. I really liked the addition of Crowley and Az switching bodies at the end of the movie. Made things a bit more interesting.

(4.5 stars) it’s such a delight - the best of Gaiman and the best of Pratchett together. The audiobook was especially wonderful. Knocked off half a star because some of the jokes have aged poorly, but over all this was great fun to revisit. Now I want to rewatch the show!
ETA: Full cast audiobook is stellar, especially David Tennant and Michael Sheen.

leer el libro ha curado una parte de mi corazón que la segunda temporada de la serie habia roto
I read this chiefly as an Audiobook, supplemented by the ebook.
I like Gaiman and Pratchett both well enough, but I avoided this book for years, because I thought it was firmly in the "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" vein. Fun, funny, but not thoughtful or edifying.
I was wrong.
Anyhow, it's pretty much a must-read if you like Gaiman and/or Pratchett or you're a fan of Douglas Adams. Or if you like cheeky British Scifi/Fantasy (and who doesn't?)
There are some weak spots in the book, but the strengths make up for them.
One comment about the audiobook: I felt the reading was VERY good except for one character. The voice of Adam Young should have sounded like Tom Sawyer, not a pompous windbag. Except for this strange misstep, the audiobook was a delight.
Recommended to pretty much anyone.

It was a fun read, but I was not as in love with this book as I would have expected from the recommendations I received.
