This was a fun book. It's a collection of shorts turned into a chapter book which sometimes worked really well for me and other times left me with gaps that I wanted filled. I love Tommy and Tuppence. They are a fun detective couple and their usage of detectives in literature to sleuth was so amusing. I didn't get every reference but what I got was very fun. My favorite was probably Agatha Christie's reference to her own fictional sleuth Poirot.

It's a nice collection of short stories featuring Tommy and Tuppence, however it is a bit dated due to references to other detectives that are not household names in this day and age. Quite often it feels like T&T solve their cases through dumb luck which is not what I'd expect from a mystery and especially not from books by Agatha Christie. In cases where either Tommy or Tuppence does solve the mystery that victory is the better for it. This is good but not great.
