Wow, just wow. Marni Mann never disappoints. This book kicks off a new series about the Westin siblings and I wasn’t sure if it was gonna live up to all the other others, but it definitely did. Lockhart is smooth and sexy and powerful and yet kind. I love everything about his cute with sadie. Sadie is fine and so very genuine. She easily comes off as someone you wanna be friends with. I love everything about the two of them together and I have to say I don’t envy Sadie for the secret so she has to keep. Definitely add this to your TBR

This one didn’t work for me. I don’t love the idea of an influencer as an FMC, though this had the potential to work, but didn’t. The conflict was not handled well and never resolved. Clearly there was a major conflict of interest here and in the end she’s still lying to everyone. But mostly Hart and Sadie were so incredibly cringe — the romance, the spice, their interactions. It was all very ick.

My only trigger is restaurant/chef/foodie tropes. I didn’t think there would be that much in there but it’s the characters whole personality and I can’t do it. I’ve had nightmares the past two nights and I don’t want more. I’m calling it quits on this series which sucks because I love the world she created and the characters in it. But I have to skip these next 5 books coming out. Maybe someday I can try again but right now I can’t do it.
