A little confused for the first hundred pages but I was crying by the end so it's worth it

I wish I would have familiarized myself more with the Buddhist belief of Bardo before reading as I was very confused for over half the book. Once I realized what I was dealing with, I enjoyed the story much more. It was heartbreaking and emotional and lethargic to read. I though it painted a beautiful picture of grief while leaving room for interpretation of the unknown in the 49 days.

Don’t let the simple art style fool you - this graphic novel packs an emotional punch.
